How the Comet website handles information when you use the interface.
1. What this covers
This notice describes the current Comet website and frontend. Wallet providers, RPC providers, hosting services, block explorers, and other third-party services have their own privacy practices.
2. Wallet and blockchain information
When you connect a wallet, the frontend may read your public wallet address and public on-chain data such as balances, liquidity positions, pool data, and lock records needed to display the app and prepare transactions. Blockchain records are public by design.
3. Private keys
Comet does not request private keys or seed phrases. Transaction signing is handled by your connected wallet or wallet provider. Never enter a seed phrase or private key into a website form.
4. Connecting with WalletConnect
If you connect using WalletConnect instead of a browser extension wallet, the connection is brokered by WalletConnect's relay network, an independent third-party service. It can see connection metadata such as your IP address and which app and wallet are pairing, under its own privacy practices. Comet does not receive anything through WalletConnect beyond the same public wallet address a browser-extension connection would expose.
5. Network requests
The frontend communicates with the configured Robinhood Chain RPC and supported public services, including the Robinhood asset registry and DexScreener's public token API, both used to resolve token names and logos for the interface. Those services may process normal technical request information such as IP address, timestamps, browser information, and request metadata under their own policies.
6. Third-party services
The current website loads the ethers JavaScript library from jsDelivr, and uses wallet, RPC, blockchain, explorer, token-metadata, and (when used) WalletConnect infrastructure. Those services are independent of Comet and may have separate data practices.
7. Cookies and analytics
The current frontend does not intentionally run a first-party advertising profile or analytics account system. Hosting, CDN, security, and third-party services may still create technical logs needed to operate their infrastructure.
8. No custody
Connecting a wallet does not transfer custody of your assets to the website. You remain responsible for transactions you approve and sign.
9. Public records cannot be made private
Transactions, wallet addresses, token movements, pool activity, and lock records written to a public blockchain may remain accessible and indexable by others.
10. Changes
This notice may change when the product or its data practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
